Formed since 1999, Tizzy Bac is a force to be reckoned with in the independent Taiwanese music scene. The band has been invited to play across scores of venues in Taiwan and also abroad including Hong Kong, China,  Fuji Rock festival in Japan and in 2010, the SXSW ( South By Southwest Festival) in USA. Last year, Tizzy Bac released their 4th studio album The Tell-Tale Heart, an album full of stories and dramatic arrangements to positive reception from fans and critics alike. This month's Singapore Originals will feature The Fast Colors. The band was formed by Kevin Mathews (Watchmen, The Crowd, Popland), Chris Toh (AWOL, Perculiar Remedies) and Patrick Chng (The Oddfellows, Padres, TypeWriter), three seasoned musicians who have been performing for over 20 years in the Singapore music scene. At Singapore Originals, the band will play songs by Kevin, Chris and Patrick as well as cover a few classics by Singaporean artists.

Opening for them would be 'Pep Talk', an alternative/folk band with mature and melodic displays, compositions inspired by current affiairs, television shows or simply by imagination.

Amar performs regularly in the Chicago Blues scene and has played with an amazing host of blues legends such as BB King and Memphis Slim. Supporting his return is drummer and percussionist, Mokhtar Samba who has played alongside prestigous musicians including Jaco Pastorius and Carlos Santana.

For one night only, Amar and Mokhtar will join forces performing a unique brand of blues and African roots in a rich rhythmic and vocal context; a stunning live experience of sophisticated musical architecture and gutsy blues.

SWITCH

Switch is Timbre Group's latest live music bar offering a new music experience with Mandarin and English performances from Monday to Saturday. The bilingual venue is located at NTUC Trade Union House's level one (73 Bras Basah Road), right beside the Singapore Arts Museum and Bras Basah MRT Station (Exit A).

BEERFEST ASIA 2012

Beerfest Asia is back for the fourth year at the Marina Promenade (F1 tracks behind Singapore Flyer) where an estimated 32,000 beer lovers will descend to the festival over four days from 7 to 10 June 2012.

An impressive 200,000 beers were consumed in 2011. Beerfest Asia 2012 targets to have 50 new beers to the festival.
